I have a checklist. Everyone has a checklist. A checklist is basically a list of things I’m looking for in a woman. You might even call it my No Bullshit List. I don’t leave home without it.
I’ve owned and copyrighted my list since I was 25 years old. Not much has changed on it. In fact, as I have aged I have become more strict about the things on the list. If a woman falls short of anything on this list she is quickly dismissed. I don’t even waste my time trying to get to know her.
At this point in my life I don’t feel I can afford to spend 2 plus years trying to change, mold, or grow to love someone I don’t mesh with. And I’m straight up with women about it. They basically get a pop quiz immediately upon meeting and if they fail they get the boot.
Cold you say?
My clock is ticking. I’m going on thirty-three years old. I’m not wasting my time on women who are falling short. I’m celibate as well. So, I’m not even using these women for sex. I make it clear up front that I want my next to be my last and if we don’t fit I’m not wasting my time on you. The End.
Surprisingly, most women are understanding. There are some who take it personally, and well, that sucks for them.
Anyway, what is the checklist? Again, it hasn’t changed in the years I have operated this blog…
- No kids
- In good health/In shape/takes care of herself/look good and attractive
- Rocks her own hair
- Good credit and on point with her finances
- Educated or at least have some legal business about herself
- Family orientated
- Wants kids and marriage
That’s about it. I’m not asking for nothing I don’t have myself. The only thing on this list that is negotiable is number 5.
I want a black woman but I’m not dead set on a black woman. I won’t ever date an AMERICAN (key word) white woman, but I will date another woman of color. If I could find a badass Latina or Asian I would be with it!
I won’t get into a new rant about how I rarely run across a black women here in Atlanta who meet 1, 2, and 3 on the list. I’m not going to go there.
I’ll just say I still hoping.
